How to track QR code scans
You track QR code scans by using a dynamic QR code, which routes through a short link that records each scan. In the dashboard you then see total scans, unique devices, location and device type, over any time range. A plain static code cannot be tracked because it points straight at the destination with nothing in between.
Why static codes can’t be tracked
A static code encodes the destination directly, so the scan goes phone → destination with no step you control. There is nowhere to count. A dynamic code inserts a redirect you own — phone → short link → destination — and that redirect logs the scan before forwarding.
